What's Happening Here At Concert On The Green in 2022?

A Benefit Concert that celebrates our local talents:

The gate opens and music starts at 6:00 pm and the symphony downbeat at 8pm.  A fantastic fireworks show begins around 9:30pm!

Plan to join us on May 29th, 2022!

The Concert on the Green is the largest outdoor benefit concert of its kind in Clay County.

Concert on the Green’s principal purpose is to provide a benefit concert featuring the Jacksonville Symphony and local bands with 100% of ALL proceeds/profits benefiting Clay County music and visual art students, and local school art and music programs. Students are awarded scholarships and school grants are awarded for art and music programs in Duval and Clay County. The benefit concert combines a live symphony orchestra, picnicking on the green, and a spectacular firework Show in a natural, beautiful outdoor family setting.

Concert on the Green sponsors three competitions each year for instrumentalists, vocalists, and artists!  The Young Artist Concerto Competition and the Jazz Competition for instrumentalists and vocalists, and the Poster Art Competition, are an annual event. Auditions occur in April and up to two concerto winners and two Jazz winners may be chosen by a panel of judges with second and third place winners and honorable mention winners as well.  Our Poster Art Competition takes place in early February giving the winner exposure on our website and marketing materials by highlighting their poster as the "face" of Concert on the Green for the entire year!!  The talented students chosen win monetary scholarships for themselves as well as a grant for their school and are granted the opportunity to perform as soloists with the Jacksonville Symphony! An honor few professional musicians have in a lifetime!

In the last 34 years, Concert on the Green has awarded over $396,000 in scholarships to Clay County Students and grants to Clay and Duval County schools.

One event in Clay County has been instrumental in keeping the arts alive, encouraging our school age children to take up the arts, and in showing the entire County what a joy the arts can be. One event has celebrated the incredible gifts to us made by our courageous military and veterans, gifts which have made us what we are today. Concert on the Green is that event.
