Bill Prince Outstanding Jazz Musician Award

Concert on the Green is pleased to continue the Bill Prince Outstanding Jazz Musician Award in 2022.

The winner will be chosen through a competitive online audition process.  The winner will receive a scholarship award that can be used toward music or college expenses.

Eligibility

To be eligible, students must live in Clay County and may be home schooled or attend school in either Clay or Duval County.  Students in grades 9-12 may compete in the jazz competition. Students can be chosen as the first place soloist winner more than once, but not in consecutive years.

Young Artist Competition 

Concert on the Green is pleased to announce the 2022 Music Competition for Clay County students and those attending schools in Duval County.  This young artist event is designed to promote music education by providing talented students an opportunity to perform a solo work with the Jacksonville Symphony. The Vocalist winner and the Instrumentalist winner will be chosen through a competitive online audition process.  The winner(s) will receive a scholarship award that can be used toward music or college expenses.

Eligibility

Eligibility:  To be eligible, students must live in Clay County and may be home schooled or attend school in either Clay or Duval County. Students in grades 9-12 will compete in the Senior Division. Students in grades 6-9 will compete in the Junior Division. As a 9th grader, students may choose to enter either division.  Students can be chosen as the first place soloist winner more than once, but not in consecutive years.

Poster Contest 

The annual Concert on the Green Poster Contest is an excellent opportunity for students and their art programs. Winning students will receive a scholarship award to use for college expenses, art camp, or to purchase art supplies and matching program grant for their school.  The winning student will be recognized as the official 2022 Concert on the Green poster artist and will receive recognition for their work on our website and on all marketing materials.

Eligibility

Who is Eligible? ANY school-age student residing in Clay County, grades 4 – 12. Students from public, private or home schools and those who attend a school outside Clay County as long as they reside in Clay County.  Students can be chosen as the first place winner more than once, but not in consecutive years.

The winning students will be awarded scholarships for use towards their college education or use in summer arts camps. All scholarship awards MUST be claimed within 12 months of high school graduation. The amount of scholarships is based on the success of fundraising events for Concert on the Green. The fundraising for the scholarships is based solely on support from Clay County residents and businesses and any proceeds from the Memorial Day Concert on the Green event.
